Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. was director of the company that runs an internet networking system. She was raised in the exclusive Upper East Side of Manhattan as part of an elitist Catholic family. Due to this her parents were enrolled in into the Convent of the Sacred Heart an eminent religious school. It was a passion for her from the age of a child. She began playing piano at the age of an infant. At thirteen, she composed her first song. She was a part of the open mic evening. Her favorite singers included Queen Michael Jackson Madonna and David Bowie. When she finished high school she entered the Tisch School of Art at New York University to study music. After high school, she chose to pursue a music career and abandoned the study.
